Get Free ConsultationFiji's Ministry of Health and Medical Services refers patients overseas when treatment is not available at home, and India is a destination for complex cardiac, cancer and surgical cases. We coordinate hospital matching, the written plan, visa documents and admission once an Overseas Referral Committee case reaches us.
Congenital heart cases are a significant part of our Pacific work. Read the case study of a Fiji to Chennai paediatric cardiac referral.
Tele-consultation check-ins after discharge, with records shared with your referring doctor in Fiji.
We arrange the hospital invitation letter and Medical Reference Number early, and confirm the route that applies to your passport. Applications can be made well ahead of travel, so start as soon as the plan is confirmed.
This is a long-haul journey, typically with one or two stops. We plan flights, airport transfers and accommodation so a family with a sick child is not managing logistics alone.
A parent or guardian can travel as an approved attendant alongside a child patient, on a medical attendant visa linked to the child's hospital letter.
Costs are quoted in USD; the table shows approximate FJD figures for planning.
