Get Free ConsultationOman's Ministry of Health sponsors treatment abroad through its Department of Treatment Abroad when a needed service is not available at home, and India has been a leading destination for those referrals. Many Omani families also travel on a self-funded basis. MedTrav coordinates the Indian side of both routes.
If the National Committee for Treatment Abroad has approved your case, we coordinate the hospital match, invitation letter, admission and reporting once the referral reaches us.
If you are choosing your own hospital and timing, we give the same hospital matching, written estimate and logistics, without waiting for any committee.
Discharge summaries and follow-up plans are shared with your doctor in Oman, with tele-consultation check-ins after you return.
For government-referred cases, the National Committee for Treatment Abroad decides eligibility, the destination and the treatment plan. For self-funded cases, you choose. Read our detailed guide to how these referrals reach Indian hospitals.
Most Gulf nationals apply online for India's e-Medical Visa using the hospital invitation letter and Medical Reference Number we arrange. We confirm that your passport qualifies and which route applies to you before you apply.
Flights from Muscat to Mumbai, Delhi and south Indian cities take roughly three to four hours. We coordinate airport pickup, accommodation near the hospital and Arabic-speaking support.
Costs are quoted in USD. The table shows approximate OMR figures for planning; your bank or card network sets the exact rate when you pay.
